Animation Mask with Image.
For this animation, on the first layer I placed a small image as a car. On the layer above I applied a text mask with the word SPEED.
As the animation plays the word SPEED gets smaller while the car image gets larger.

Animation - Mask.
This video is similar to the last one I posted. To create this effect, on the first layer I typed Matt in a dark gray color. On the second layer, I copied and pasted Matt but instead of gray I used the color right. The third layer was the mask layer. The mask was in the shape of a circle to simulate a searchlight. When the circle goes over my name it displays the white text. It’s a simple effect, but extremely effective!

My Name
I love this neat little trick in animation. At the start all you see is the ball and my name is hidden. As the ball passes my name starts to appear. This happens because I applied a mask layer to my name. When the mask is not over any letters they will not show. If the mask is over the letters they will appear. Animation Magic.

Animated tennis
This video is very similar to the first one that I posted. However, in this one the ball has a shadow to add more realism to the animation. I also added rays of the sun to add a bit more to the project.

Grinding my Gears!
Another pretty simple animation. What’s great about this one is that it was the gears were just made out of shapes even though it doesn’t look like it.
Obviously, there is not too much to this animation but it is always nice to see what you did come to life.

My First Animation
This may look like a simple animation and it is, but it does cover one of the most important principles in animation: Squash and Stretch.
This principle is so important in animation because it gives your animated characters and objects the illusion of gravity, weight, mass and flexibility.
If this principle was not applied the animated ball in this video would just go up and down with the same dimensions, which would not be very realistic.
